Carolina PRG is partnering with a North American manufacturing company to identify a Senior Accountant. This role will support month-end close, financial reporting, and inventory accounting while partnering with operations to improve accuracy, strengthen controls, and provide insight into business performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Support month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, investigate variances, and explain key drivers of results.
- Reconcile inventory balances and review inventory transactions for accuracy.
- Support inventory valuation, excess and obsolete inventory reserves, and cost-of-goods-sold analysis.
- Partner with plant and operations teams on physical inventories, cycle counts, and resolution of discrepancies.
- Assist with manufacturing cost analysis, including material, labor, and overhead variances.
- Maintain internal controls and provide documentation for external audits.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and ERP workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Three or more years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Exposure to inventory accounting or cost accounting. xhqgsiq
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with an ERP system.
