Senior Accountant (General Ledger) | Charlotte, NC
Are you a strong accounting professional who enjoys owning the close process, solving complex accounting issues, and partnering across the business? We are partnering with a growing global manufacturing organization seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting team in Charlotte, NC. This role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, consolidations, compliance, audit support, and process improvement initiatives.
What You'll Do:
- Lead month-end close activities and prepare financial statements for multiple entities
- Prepare and support consolidated financial reporting
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity
- Manage accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and intercompany transactions
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS standards
- Support external audits, tax reporting, and regulatory requirements
- Analyze financial results and provide recommendations to management
- Partner with Accounts Payable and operational teams to ensure accurate accounting treatment
- Assist with process improvements and accounting automation initiatives
- Conduct accounting research and support implementation of new accounting standards
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred
- Experience working within an ERP system environment
- Strong understanding of US GAAP; IFRS exposure is a plus
- CPA or CPA-track preferred
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
