Senior Accountant

Senior AccountantWe're seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing Specialty Program Group in a dynamic transitional support role. This position offers variety and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact as you support the accounting operations for multiple entities with diverse needs. Your responsibilities will flex based on business priorities—ranging from day-to-day transactional accounting to higher-level reconciliations and special projects.What You'll DoSupport day-to-day accounting operations for multiple entities, adapting to varying business needsPerform transactional accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entriesComplete month-end close processes and balance sheet account reconciliationsPrepare manual journal entries and accounting adjustments as neededSupport special projects and initiatives based on team prioritiesIdentify and resolve accounting discrepancies and issuesMaintain detailed documentation and support continuous process improvementsShift focus between different types of work as business needs evolveProvide accounting support during transitional periodsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance3-5 years of accounting experience with strong fundamental accounting knowledgeSolid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principlesExperience with account reconciliations and transactional accountingStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsIntermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data analysis)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsSelf-starter mentality with ability to work independentlyAdaptable mindset and comfort with shifting prioritiesAbility to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneouslyStrongly Preferred:Insurance industry experienceExperience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systemsPublic company accounting experienceExposure to multiple accounting environments or systemsWhy You'll Love This RoleDiverse responsibilities with opportunities to learn and growExposure to various aspects of accounting across multiple entitiesCollaborative, team-oriented environmentWork-life balance in a hybrid settingOpportunity to make real impact in a growing organizationClear career progression potentialThis is a hybrid position requiring two days in office in Brentwood, TN.Join Our TeamDo you believe in the power of innovation, collaboration, and transformation?
