A quick learner who will be involved in all aspects of accounting and finance. An individual who enjoys paying attention to details and analyzing data.This role will play a key part in improving accounting processes, systems, and reporting as the company continues to scale, including identifying root causes of discrepancies and supporting sustainable solutions.Key Responsibilities:Support month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysisAssist in preparing month-end and annual financial reportsEnsure timely and accurate recording of accounting transactionsAssist in performing various accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts receivable, account payable, treasury, journal entries, financial reporting, etc.Prepare and manage account reconciliations of all balance sheet accountsPrepare and audit inventory invoices – address variances in pricing with Purchasing TeamReview, evaluate, and assist in setting up new Wholesale credit terms accountsSupport financial audits including documentation retention, procedure requests, etc.Monitor and document internal controlsMaintain documentation of all accounting processesEnsure compliance with accounting policies and procedures including GAAPMonitor inventory and assist with any physical inventory or cycle countingOwn inventory accounting and reconciliations across all locations (3PL, retail, and in-transit)Perform monthly inventory-to-general ledger reconciliations and investigate discrepanciesPrepare variance reports including, but not limited to, budget variance, costs variance, quantity varianceFixed Asset managementPartner and support Director of Finance/Accounting on ad hoc projectsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business5+ years of accounting experienceStrong knowledge of US GAAPHigh level of attention to detail and strong analytical skillsExcellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet assigned deadlinesEffective and professional communication skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environmentExperience working with ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred)Experience in omnichannel environments (retail, wholesale, e-commerce)Experience with multi-location inventory environments and/or 3PLsAdvanced Excel skills and ability to work with large datasetsSupervisory Responsibility:• No direct supervisory responsibility at this timePhysical Demands and/or Work Environment:This is largely a sedentary role; however, some general office activities are required.
