Senior Accountant
Seeking a Senior Accountant with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience and strong expertise in financial reporting, month-end/year-end close, reconciliations, financial analysis, and Excel within a fast-paced, preferably manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain General Ledger accounts and financial reporting structures.
- Lead month-end and year-end close activities and support audits.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.
- Support multi-state tax compliance and state filings.
- Assist with cash management, payment planning, and cash projections.
- Review benefit invoices and support AP processing.
- Analyze inventory activity, variances, and financial data.
- Assist with annual budgeting and investigate budget variances.
- Identify and resolve financial issues while supporting internal departments.
- Prepare financial presentation materials and management reports.
- Support insurance renewals, lease-versus-buy analysis, and other financial evaluations.
- Provide accounting guidance and backup support across the department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of general accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX, and HLOOKUP.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Manufacturing accounting experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be comfortable working 100% in person.
