Senior 5G Integration & Field-Testing Engineer
Location
Location: Candidates can work from either Ashburn, VA or Basking Ridge, NJ. Onsite
Responsibilities
- Lead the integration of 5G components including core network and RAN over a satellite network.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compatibility and performance optimization.
- Satellite & RF Gateway Integration: Design and implement integration strategies for satellite communication systems and RF gateways.
- Ensure interoperability between terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks.
- Field Testing & Validation: Plan and execute field trials for 5G and satellite systems.
- Analyze performance metrics and troubleshoot issues in real-time environments.
- Integration Testing: Develop and run test cases for system-level integration.
- Validate end-to-end functionality across hardware and software components.
- Customer Coordination: Serve as the primary technical liaison with customers during deployment and testing phases.
- Provide technical support and documentation tailored to customer needs.
- Technology Team Interface: Work closely with R&D and engineering teams to relay field insights and contribute to product improvements.
- Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on system architecture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in wireless communications, with a focus on 5G and satellite systems.
- Strong understanding of RF principles, network protocols, and system integration.
- Hands-on experience with field testing tools and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
