Following continued growth and increasing customer demand, the organization is seeking an experienced CNC Mill 5-Axis Programmer to join its team in San Jose, California .
Role Summary
This is a hands-on technical role responsible for developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting advanced CNC programs for complex 5-axis machining applications. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving machining efficiency, supporting production teams, and delivering high-quality components for demanding end markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for complex 5-axis milling applications
- Create machining strategies from CAD models, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements
- Support machine setup, first article inspections, and production troubleshooting
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to resolve technical challenges
- Drive process improvements to reduce cycle times and improve efficiency
- Maintain accurate program, tooling, and setup documentation
Your Profile
- 7+ years of CNC machining experience with strong 5-axis programming expertise
- Proficiency with CAM software such as Mastercam, Siemens NX, Fusion 360, or similar
- Strong understanding of GD&T, tooling, and machining best practices
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize machining processes in a production environment
- Experience within aerospace, defense, medical device, semiconductor, or other high-precision industries is preferred
