Maintaining product integrity and safety standards, and ensuring efficient pallet stacking for outbound transportation. The position requires collaboration across departments to uphold food safety protocols and a clean, organized work environment.
This is a pay-by-piece position. The initial pay is $18.75 per hour during training period and then after the pay is dependent on productivity and volume.Responsibilities:Able to understand purchase orders through Voice select headset in EnglishAccurately count and assemble boxes according to purchase orders - maintain balanced pallet loadsMaintains product integrity, and temperature controlsWorks with all departments to assure Safe Quality Food controlsAbility to organize work and be efficient while picking ordersWorks with safety in mind at all timesFollows FIFO system of order picking to ensure a fair and equitable disbursement of work to allMaintain safe trucks through proper stacking and wrapping of pallets for safe weight distribution in trucksStacks pallets according to specifications for safety and stage them for outbound transportationKeep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilizationRemoval of packaging and pallets after picking and daily cleanupsAssist in other departments as neededQualification Skills:Related work experience in distribution and warehousing food manufacturing environment preferred.Work independentlyAbility to operate Warehouse Equipment, electric pallet, pallet rider and or forklift a plusAbility to follow safety protocols.Requirements:The ability to lift 50/80 pounds regularlyThe ability to work for periods of time in cooler and freezerThe ability to respond quickly to soundsThe ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spacesThe ability to see and respond to dangerous situationsWe are an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer: Race, Religion, Color, National Origin, Citizenship, Sex, Age, Disability, Ancestry, Veteran Status, Genetic Information.
