Carolina PRG is partnering with a leading billion-dollar North American organization headquartered in Charlotte, NC to identify a **Segment Accounting Manager**. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting leader who enjoys owning the financials for a business segment while working closely with operational and corporate leadership.
Key Responsibilities

• Own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close for an assigned business segment, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Manage and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and balance sheet activity.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, identifying trends, variances, and unusual activity.
• Ensure accounting activities are performed in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
• Partner with segment and operational leadership to provide financial insight and support business decisions.
• Support internal and external audits and maintain appropriate internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve controls, and increase efficiencies across the accounting function.
• Partner with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, and other departments on reporting, forecasting, and special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience leading the month-end close.
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial statements, and balance sheet accounting.
• Experience within a large, multi-location or multi-entity organization** is highly desirable.
• Strong Excel and ERP/system skills.
• CPA or public accounting experience.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both accounting and operational leadership.
