Seed Hub Operations ManagerPosition Overview: This position will be responsible for overseeing all operations of the seed hub's day-to-day workload. This includes leading a team, ensuring efficiencies are met, ensuring customer's orders are correct and delivered in a timely manner. Maintain Keystone standards in all operations, including the safety of all workers and customers.Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the facility according to divisional objectives, to provide patrons with prompt, courteous and effective service while maintaining the efficiency necessary to achieve a maximum margin of profitKeep branch personnel up to date on their customer's orders that are ready for them to either deliver or have their customers pick upOrder all seed for the salespeople through the Agvance Ordering system and Seed Sales ToolPalletize and otherwise make ready for shipment, all seed ordersManage all downstream treatment of SoybeansAssist with running application equipment and tender trucks, as neededAssist Agronomy Branch's with operational tasks – deliveries, loading and unloading trucksMaintain a safe working environmentEnsure that department facilities and equipment meet all federal, state, and OSHA regulationsManage costs by eliminating shrink, managing inventories and maximizing efficienciesSkills and Qualifications:Must understand basic business principles of inventory management and personnel supervisionDemonstrated strong leadership and organizational skillsClass A CDL with Hazmat endorsement, or ability to obtainCategory 1A and 4 applicators license, or ability to obtainExcellent customer service skillsComputer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and OutlookDetail oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenMust be a team player and enjoy the effort necessary to contribute to a successful operation and companyAbility and desire to solve problems in the fields of our customers and supporting locationsShould have a relative knowledge of crop diagnostics, crop protection, seed and fertilityEducation and Experience:BS Agriculture related degree preferred3 – 5 years progressive Agronomy related experienceExperience leading safety and business improvement strategies
