Security TechnicianWe are seeking a Security Technician to support projects in both Jacksonville and Kings Bay. Initially, the role will involve a 50/50 split between the two locations, transitioning to primarily Kings Bay after approximately six months. The successful candidate will be responsible for the configuration, programming, and maintenance of access control systems, primarily focusing on Lenel systems.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform configuration and programming for Lenel access control systems.Conduct maintenance on access control systems and associated servers.Manage system configurations, scripts, and program loading on Windows-based servers.Work on access control projects at various sites, including schools and hospitals in Jacksonville and a naval base in Kings Bay.Serve as a backup for existing technical staff.Required QualificationsA valid Security+ Certification is required.Experience with access control systems or a strong IT background with skills in server configuration and networking.Proficiency with basic hand tools.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Lenel access control systems.Knowledge of intrusion systems, such as burglary alarms.Familiarity with AIX cameras and Milestone VMS.Experience with Software House systems.What We OfferThis is a contract-to-hire opportunity.Upon conversion to a permanent role, a company truck, gas card, and laptop are provided.Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
