Security TechnicianThe Security Technician is primarily responsible for deploying, configuring, and supporting security solutions, managing security escalations and remediations, and being the product manager for security solutions vendors.The Security Technician will also develop and maintain security policies and documentation, ensuring that Kelley Create delivers high-value, effective security services to meet the needs of our partners. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity of partner systems and advancing the organization's overall security posture.Essential functions of the job include:Install, configure, and support security solutions, including but not limited to email protection, endpoint protection, MFA, security awareness training, and threat detection systems.Serve as a security subject matter expert, confidently advising partners on best practices and the effective use of our security products.Collaborate and build strong relationships with solution partners.Respond to and manage security-related incidents and escalations from partners or internal teams.Provide technical assistance and guidance to partners during the deployment and configuration of security products.Monitor and maintain security systems to ensure optimal performance and security compliance.Conduct root cause analysis of security incidents and implement appropriate remediations.Collaborate with other IT teams and security vendors to resolve complex security issues.Conduct security assessments and present findings and recommendations to partners.Develop, maintain, and update security policies, procedures, and best practice guides for internal use and partner reference.Continual evaluation of security solutions with proactive recommendations of new solutions to stay current with industry standards and best practices.Identify security needs or gaps and propose solutions.Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST & CIS.Create detailed technical documentation for the deployment, configuration, and support of security products.Create and maintain end user documentation to support security solutions and servicesConduct trainings of security solutions for internal team membersAfterhours security incident response as needed.Other duties as assigned.Skills and abilities include:Ability and desire to provide exceptional customer serviceAbility to act with a sense of urgency while paying attention to detailAbility to multi-task effectively and thrive in a fast-paced environmentAbility to communicate in a positive, effective, and efficient mannerAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to prepare, organize and present information to groups of peopleAbility to work afterhours for security escalationsProven experience in deploying and supporting security products.Strong understanding of network security, endpoint protection, and threat management.Experience with security incident management, including detection, response, and remediation.Familiarity with security frameworks and standards.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to non-technical audiences.Proficient with Microsoft Office ApplicationsExperience requirements include:Minimum of three (3) years' experience in an IT support or consulting roleMinimum of three (3) years' experience providing excellent service directly to end usersMinimum of three (3) years' experience supporting security productsEducation/certification requirements include:A BA/BS in related field is preferredOne or more of the following industry certifications Security+, CySA+, MCSA/E, MOS, CCNA, are preferredPossesses valid driver's license and proof of insurance, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportationPhysical requirements essential to perform the duties of the job include:Frequently communicates with co-workers, customers, and vendors in person, on the telephone, and on the computer to provide assistanceFrequently operates a motor vehicle while traveling to partner sitesFrequently exposed to outside elements when traveling to partner sitesFrequently sits and/or stands for long periods of timeFrequently uses the computer with fingers and hands for documentation, research, and troubleshootingFrequently works in a well-lit, tempered roomFrequently views the computer to perform dutiesFrequently bends, stoops, kneels, or climbs when installing or moving computers, monitors, servers, etc.Occasionally lifts objects such as office supplies, computers, monitors, and servers with weight up to 50 pounds
