Position Summary:
Charlotte Motor Speedway is looking for enthusiastic, hardworking and guest service oriented people to join the Security and Public Safety department. This is an event-time position meaning security staff will only work during events dependent upon staffing needs for each event. Pay rate will be $15.00 an hour.

Job Responsibilities:

• Coach less experienced staff in established security responsibilities and procedures
• Conduct security inspections as directed
• Control security risks through education and preventative measures
• Assist with incident investigations, reports on findings, makes recommendations and take corrective actions as directed
• Document all incidents for further investigation in the future
• Circulate among fans, visitors and employees to preserve order and protect property
• Responsible for gate control to ensure people with the proper credentials have access to restricted areas
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.

• Friendly and personable, excellent customer service skills required
• A team player, must work well with others
• Previous security and public safety experience desired
• Leadership skills desired
• Some knowledge of general security standards helpful
• Operations experience at a large sports/entertainment facility helpful
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence if necessary
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with all levels with the organization
• Sound judgement and problem solving skills
• This position requires considerable physical activity involving walking, standing and directing traffic for extended periods of time in ALL weather conditions
• Ability to work extended shifts (more than 12 hours) if necessary
