American Systems Job PositionAmerican Systems is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.ResponsibilitiesAs a Security Specialist with American Systems you will have the opportunity to do the following:Administer and coordinate DoD and other industrial security programsProvides guidance and support to staff members concerning all security administrative functionsProvides authoritative information and assistance to management/employees on personnel security policies and proceduresTrack and maintain all PERSEC informationReview forms for accuracy and process incoming Program Access Request (PAR) and associated documentationDevelop recommendations with sufficient supporting rationale to enable the Government to decide whether to approve or deny for classified programsLiaison with external DoD entities on all matters pertaining to personnel securityManage program quota access rosters, develop detailed reports and presentation for Government regarding personnel access requirementsConducting required security orientation, refresher training, and security briefings for assigned personnelProcess, track, file and report on foreign travel reportedProvides oversight for programs for the protection of classified information as well as proprietary informationPrepares, sends, and receives visitor certificationsInvestigates losses and security violations and recommends corrective actionsQualificationsHigh School diploma5 - 7 years of relevant DoD/IC security related experienceExperience with application of ICD704 and EO 12968; and SEAD 3, 6 and 7 which addresses reporting requirements, continuous vetting/evaluation, and reciprocityKnowledgeable of DoD/DoN/IC SCI and SAP Personnel Security processes and requirementsActive TS clearance with SCI eligibilityExcellent communication and organizational skillsPossess an analytical mindset with effective problem-solving skillsPay Transparency StatementAmerican Systems is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $89,800.00/Yr. - USD $150,000.00/Yr.
Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
