This position is responsible for project coordination, safety, installation, checkout, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Ensures that daily activities on site for projects are completed and regular progress on projects are communicated to the project manager.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all design engineer activity is aligned with latest conformed construction documents prior to installation
  • Collaborate with the project manager and procurement personnel on purchasing activity and monitor budget risks
  • Assist the PM in material procurement
  • Ensure materials are delivered to the site or subcontractors for installation
  • Validate hardware and project installations
  • Install, replace, and re-commission devices, equipment, and software
  • Diagnose communication problems and install control devices and other components as well as troubleshoot software and hardware issues
  • Participate in field quality control or safety audits and review analysis and results
  • Coordinate with on‑site contractors for installation of equipment based on shop drawings
  • Act as primary point of contact for subcontractors during the installation phase
  • Coordinate and address any issues during the installation phase independentlyCollaborate with the Project Manager to coordinate projects through the installation phase
  • Provide feedback to the Project Manager for manpower requirements
  • Ensure installation tracking sheets are updated regularly
  • Prepare customer‑training manuals and provide customized training
  • Contribute to the complete operations‑to‑service turnover process
  • Ensure overall system functionality/performance; set up outside ISP connections and remote connectivity to customer sites

Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of experience as a Systems Application Engineer with related industry knowledge and demonstrated communication skills for interfacing directly with customers and other trades
  • Experience with HVAC and security installations and proficiency in all types of building systems and application of our technology
  • Capability to coordinate other project team activities on site, including coordination with other trades, commissioning agents, and customers
  • Ability to modify and update design drawings and maintain red line documents
