Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Charlottesville, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and professional communication. This driving position requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a utilities-related location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, grounds, access points, equipment areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and potential hazards to appropriate site personnel and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
