Position Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and reliable Security Officer to maintain safety and security in Rochester, NY. This role involves monitoring premises, enforcing policies, and responding promptly to any security incidents to ensure a safe environment for all occupants.
Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards
- Monitor surveillance equipment and conduct regular checks of buildings and grounds
- Enforce company policies and procedures, including access control
- Respond quickly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, or incidents
- Report and document any security breaches, incidents, or maintenance issues
- Provide assistance to employees, visitors, and emergency services as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in security or law enforcement preferred but not required
- Ability to remain alert and attentive during shifts
- Good communication and observation skillsMust meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements for security personnel
