Summary:
Performs general safety and security duties including patrol and detection services, assisting customers, response and intervention responsibilities. Provides monitoring services to assure team member, patient and visitor safety. Completes communication and documentation tools. Conducts weapons screening in appropriate manner. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education: HS Graduate or Equivalent GED

Required Credentials: Driver's License - State of Florida (upon hire); International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Certification is needed within 1 year, 5-year renewal is NOT required; Security D License within 90 days.

Required Experience: 1 year Customer Service; OR 1 year Healthcare in related field; OR 1 year Hospital in related field.

Key Skills and Other Requirements:

• Life Safety and Weapons Screening techniques.
• Team members must complete De-Escalation training within 2 months of hire or transfer into job, with Annual recertification is required .

Shift Hours: blended days and evenings

Shift: Shift 4

Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies
