The primary responsibility of a Security Officer at Jackson Hospital is the protection of all persons and property connected with the hospital. He/she works to assure the safety and general welfare of all staff, patients, and visitors.

Experience
* Previous Law Enforcement, Military Service Or Security Experience Preferred
Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations
* Valid Alabama Driver's License
* Have and maintain a clean driving record
* Pass a background check
Equipment/Tools/Work Aids
* Hospital master keys, handcuffs, radio (walkie talkie), camera, flashlight, jumper cables, slim jim, and hospital vehicles.
Specialized Skills
* Working knowledge of; computers, cameras, metal detectors and surveillance equipment.
Physical Requirements
Must be physically able to detain, restrain, when necessary for the protection of self and others. Must be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods; must be able to do lifting.
