Security Officer, Lead

About the Role
CharterCARE Health of Rhode Island is seeking an experienced Security Lead to guide and support our security team. This role is ideal for a seasoned security or law enforcement professional ready to take on greater responsibility including overseeing shift operations, mentoring officers, and serving as the point person for incidents and emergencies as they arise.
What You'll Do

• Provide direction and support to Security Officers, ensuring all duties are performed according to established policies and procedures
• Respond to and manage all security incidents and emergencies occurring on the assigned shift
• Assist the leadership team with day-to-day oversight of security operations
• Perform all duties of a Security Officer as needed, including patient, visitor, and employee safety
• Serve as a resource and mentor for junior officers on the team

What You'll Need

• Associate's degree in Law Enforcement or equivalent experience preferred
• At least 18 years of age
• Valid RI driver's license
• 2-3 years of security or law enforcement experience, OR 3-4 years of military experience preferred
• Prior experience supervising or leading a team a plus

Compensation
Starting at $27/hour, with pay increasing based on experience (up to $38.70/hour for 30+ years). Shift differentials: +$1.50/hour for 2nd shift, +$2.50/hour for 3rd shift.
