As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Communications in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with tenants, visitors, and staff while contributing to a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity.

Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, common areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, documenting incidents, patrol findings, and policy violations in accordance with site requirements.
• Communicate professionally with building management, tenants, visitors, and emergency responders while supporting a welcoming environment at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
