As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a public transportation location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication to passengers, employees, and visitors. Thur 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM

Sat 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, visitors, and government transportation facility personnel while carrying out site-specific policies, security-related procedures, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, parking areas, vehicle access points, platforms, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity at assigned locations, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with emergency responders and law enforcement as needed.
• Maintain required armed post equipment and complete accurate reports, incident documentation, and shift activity logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
