The Security Officer protects patients, staff and visitors of The Brooklyn Hospital Center from trespass, fire and vandalism. The position identifies persons entering the Hospital. Regulates crowds, directs traffic and preserves law and order throughout the Hospital. Ensure all hospital and departmental policies are adhered to, as well as ensuring customer satisfaction.
* High School Graduate or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
* Valid New York State Driver's License
* New York State Security License
* FDNY Certificate of Fitness (FO1 -- Fire Guard) within 90 days of employment
* Active New York State Security Guard Certification
* Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
* Ability to write clear and concise report
* Ability to perform basic computer operations
* Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
