As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Response in Culpeper, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to situations requiring sound judgment. You will deliver exceptional customer service and communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity. This is an armed post requiring an Armed Guard Card/License.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, data halls, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report observations.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and assist with visitor and contractor entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining awareness of restricted areas and critical infrastructure.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a CPO certification.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Possess CPR and/or First Aid certification, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
