Security OfficerBasic Function: Maintain the security of the building and operate firefighting equipment as necessary.Reporting Line: Reports to Security SupervisorResponsibilities:Maintains security watches at building entrance and patrols building to ensure safety of residents, noting and correcting irregularities (i.e., open doors, windows, etc.)Maintains activity log and completes incident reports as required.Inspects and maintains security equipment as directed.Assists in fire drills as directed. Performs daily check of fire safety equipment, logging conditions encountered, and filling out service requests as needed.Assists residents and staff, as needed, to maintain the orderly functioning of the residence.Pass a background check and be able to hold a valid NYS security license.Participate in and pass the yearly basic CPR course.Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED preferred with at least 1 year of experience.The above job description is not intended to be all-inclusive, and employees will also perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisory and other management personnel as required.
