Security CoordinatorThe Security Coordinator adheres to the security and safety of our staff, clients, and visitors while ensuring emergency protocol, policies and procedures are followed within our Safe Havens.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Staff the security office, monitoring security cameras for unusual occurrences and critical incidentsProvide support as designated by the Director in response to crises. Conduct investigations as designated by managementProvide de-escalation support to staff and clients in response to conflictContact appropriate outside emergency service providers when warrantedConduct hourly external and internal tours, reporting resident and staff safety concerns, in addition to, facility security risks to the appropriate staffMaintain an hourly log documenting duty, observations and the outcome of external and internal tours of the buildingComplete incident reportsEnsure that all security equipment is operational, serviced and repaired when necessaryAdmit authorized staff, volunteers and guests with the proper identification and as indicated by authorized staffConducting security room inspectionsAll responsibilities are expected to be delivered satisfactorily and with superior customer service and according to Agency standards.What WAA Can Offer You and What You'll Love About WAA Annual Increases, Years of Service Recognition, EAP, Pay differential for agency observed holidays and declared inclement weather, Medical, Vision, Dental, PTO for Vacation, Personal, Holidays, accrual of Sick Days, & more The mission of WAA is to provide quality, compassionate and non-judgmental services in a manner that fosters self-respect and independence in persons experiencing intimate partner violence through advocacy and community education. WAA's Core Values are Safety, Empowerment, Strength, Hope, Respect, and Integrity and we are committed to a work environment built on honesty, transparency, teamwork, accountability, and a high level of professionalismMinimum Qualifications:A High School Diploma or the equivalentOne (1) — Three (3) years minimum of security experienceDemonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member with a diverse population and commitment to service of othersThe ability to read, understand and communicate in EnglishPreferred Qualifications:Experience working in Human Services, Healthcare and/or Crisis environmentDemonstrated effectiveness of de-escalationExperience with CCTV and related equipmentValid Driver's License and passing of MVRBilingual or Conversational in a language in addition to EnglishSatisfactory Child Abuse, Criminal and FBI clearances, obtained, and maintained post offer*Location: North Philadelphia, PAWomen Against Abuse is an equal opportunity employer.
