Security ConciergeSilver Spring, MarylandPosition Description:The Security Officer: Concierge is responsible for the daily management of the front desk at its located office building lobby. This position delivers company, client, and customer expectations by ensuring the facility is operating in accordance with company policy and client expectations.Responsibilities:Access control for guests, tenants, and vendors.Provide elevator assistance and door assistance to all guests.Provide customer service and assistance to clients, customers, and visitors.Daily activity report, access control reports, and incident reports daily.Observation and reporting of all safety concerns.Patrol the common areas.Directly oversees all day-to-day activities associated with opening, managing, and closing the facility.Ensures the facility's safety and security for guests and employees by reviewing maintenance checklists and conducting periodic safety audits as directed by the company's Safety Manual.Resolves customer concerns that are escalated to his/her attention by the facility's front-line associates.Completes Incident Forms and conducts incident investigations as directed by his/her Senior Operations Manager and/or the Corporate Office.Consistently and effectively uses software applications necessary to record and track work.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh School DiplomaMinimum of 2 years' experience in customer-service related jobValid driver's license without major violationsFlexibility to work after hours and weekends, as neededFlexibility to work through lunches (paid) on a consistent basis unless advance arrangements made in accordance with division/department policies.Must be a certified security professional (VA Unarmed Security Officer/Courier, aka DCJS) by the state of Virginia or will be required to obtain certification within 60 days of start/transfer date.Outgoing personality with ability to relate to diverse group of people and build/maintain strong relationshipsStrong sense of urgencyStrong problem-solving, time management and communication skillsMust be highly credible and trustworthy, and operate with high degree of integrityMust hold oneself and others accountable and strive for a high level of excellenceMust have a positive, can-do attitude and be able to fuel growth and innovationMust be customer-focused and results-orientedMust want to continuously learn and developExceptional oral and written communication, active listening, and organizational skillsAbility to establish strong working relationships with others in team settingAbility to multitask and prioritize tasks with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environmentSelf-directed and able to work independently, with minimal supervisionPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentRequired to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, twist, and/or reachPush, pull or lift up to 50 poundsContinuous repetitive motionsWork under variable temperature conditions (or extreme heat or cold), under variable noise levels, outdoors/indoors, around fumes and/or hazards, around dust and/or mite hazards, around chemicals and bio-hazardsOne Comstock, One Mission: Delivering extraordinary experiences in places people live, work, and play. Compensation is determined based on the unique circumstances of each candidate. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Any award under this program is subject to its rules and may depend on individual and organizational performance.Maryland Compensation Range$18 - $19 USD
