About the Role:
First Call Security Innovations LLC is looking for a skilled Security Cable Installation Technician to join our growing team in Houston, TX. Responsibilities:
Install, terminate, and test low-voltage security cabling including coax, Cat5e/Cat6, and fiber optic lines
Run and route cables through walls, ceilings, conduit, and other structures in residential and commercial settings
Mount and connect security cameras, access control panels, alarm systems, and related hardware
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and system schematics
Troubleshoot and repair existing security cable infrastructure and system connections
Coordinate with project managers and other technicians to ensure timely job completion
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site in compliance with safety standards
Requirements:
1+ years of experience in low-voltage cabling, security systems, or structured wiring installation
Familiarity with CCTV, access control, and intrusion alarm systems
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and cable testing equipment
Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying environmental conditions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to pass a background check as required for security industry work
