Personnel Security Assistant

RiverTech is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Personnel Security (PERSEC) Assistant to support the Joint Staff Security Office (JSSO) in managing and maintaining compliance with Federal, DoD, and organizational personnel security policies. The PERSEC Security Assistant will assist with processing security clearances, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with security standards and guidelines. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining personnel security files in accordance with established retention policies, supporting the enforcement of personnel security policies, processing packages for in-bound personnel, processing visit requests, processing security forms and clearance validation requests, assisting with initiating, reviewing, and tracking clearance applications, providing customer support, and processing forms for Joint Staff employees in-processing, out-processing, building and room accesses, and foreign contact/travel reporting and other administrative actions necessary to complete in/out processing.

Qualifications include a high school diploma/GED, minimum of three (3) years of experience in a respective field of expertise, TS clearance with SCI eligibility, working knowledge of the U.S. Government Personnel Security Programs, excellent written and oral communication and problem-solving skills, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail with customer service, and Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).

Desired experience includes a BA or BS degree, Defense Information System for Security (DISS), National Background Investigation Services (NBIS) and eAPP portal, and working in or with Department of War organizations.
