Security Architect

Job Summary:

The Security Architect - Consultant is responsible for leading the development of cloud security architecture, privacy, and compliance strategies, primarily focused on Microsoft Azure. This role supports the migration of on-premises applications and services to cloud environments, mentors architects and engineering staff, and stays current with technical advancements in cloud platforms. The position is a 12-month remote contract based in the United States, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead architecture and technical discussions related to cloud security, privacy, and compliance.
• Support migration of on-premises applications and services to Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
• Mentor architects and engineering staff to enhance cloud security practices.
• Stay updated on technical developments related to Microsoft Azure and other cloud platforms.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Expertise in Microsoft Cloud Platform including security, firewalls, key vault, service bus, ASR, networking, OMS, blob storage, resource groups, NSG, application insights, SQL Server and SQL DB, load-balancers.
• Experience with AWS Cloud Platform, including architectural knowledge, administration, resource allocation, security, and network connectivity.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience (5+ years).
• Microsoft Azure certifications:
  • Azure Administrator
  • Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
  • Identity and Access Administrator Associate
  • Security Operations Analyst
  • Security Administrator

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience with migration from on-premises to cloud solutions.
• Operational hybrid cloud experience.

Special Considerations:

• Must pass a 7-year standard background check and credit history check.
• Must comply with confidentiality and IT use agreements.
• Candidate must reside in the United States.
• Temporary worker agreement applies.

Scheduling:

• Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Remote work location.
• Contract duration: 12 months with possibility of extension.
