Remote Contract Staffing and Recruiting

Lead security and network operations. Develop the team. Keep clients protected and connected.

Full-time, direct hire | Miami Lakes, Florida | $85,000–$110,000 base salary

Greyline Talent Partners is supporting a cybersecurity and managed services provider seeking a Security & Network Operations Manager to lead the people and daily operations that keep client environments secure, available, and performing reliably.

You will oversee both the Security Operations Center (SOC), which monitors and responds to cybersecurity threats and incidents, and the Network Operations Center (NOC), which monitors network health, connectivity, performance, and service availability. Together, these functions provide continuous monitoring, incident response, and operational support across multiple client environments.

You will oversee a team of approximately 15 people supporting a 24/7 operation. The work is roughly 60–70% security operations and 30–40% network operations. You will report to the Director of Technology, Innovation & Managed Services and combine people leadership with the technical depth to review work, guide incident response, and improve how the team operates.

This is a local role for candidates in Miami-Dade or Broward County who can reliably commute to Miami Lakes. You will work onsite five days per week initially, with the possibility of moving to a hybrid schedule later.

Why this role matters

Clients depend on this team to respond quickly, follow established procedures, and communicate clearly when issues arise. You will connect the people, processes, and technology that make that service reliable across shifts.

Your impact will come from coaching analysts, maintaining accountability, improving runbooks and workflows, and helping the team resolve issues with sound judgment. The company is also investing in automation and AI-assisted operations, creating opportunities to improve the work and build new skills.

What you will do

  • Lead, coach, and develop SOC/NOC analysts across shifts, ensuring clear expectations, reliable coverage, effective handoffs, and follow-through.
  • Review tickets, shift checklists, and analyst work for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor service levels and outstanding work, address gaps early, and ensure client commitments are met.
  • Serve as a management escalation point for security incidents and service issues, coordinating analysts and engineers through triage, containment, resolution, and reporting.
  • Maintain runbooks, playbooks, escalation matrices, and operational manuals as client environments and services evolve.
  • Create and improve ticketing workflows, resolution templates, and reporting in HaloPSA or comparable service management tools.
  • Support onboarding of new clients and analysts, keeping operational documentation and asset inventories current.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend detection tuning, configuration changes, scripted remediation, and automation.
  • Oversee internal infrastructure maintenance, vulnerability remediation, root cause analysis, change management, and appropriate access controls.
  • Support monthly reviews of services delivered, contract scope, and billing accuracy.
  • Identify training needs, support certification goals, and contribute to technology and department planning.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, technical teams, and leadership during routine operations and critical escalations.

Who will thrive here

  • You have experience leading or supervising technical staff and can demonstrate how you coach people, manage priorities, and hold a team accountable.
  • You bring at least three years of progressive IT engineering, security operations, or network operations experience, with hands-on production responsibility.
  • You understand incident response, vulnerability management, firewall controls, and the operational demands of a SOC or NOC.
  • You can review technical findings, ask useful diagnostic questions, and help analysts work through issues.
  • You have working knowledge of Windows and Linux/UNIX environments, networking, and network security controls.
  • You communicate professionally with customers and can translate technical issues for nontechnical stakeholders.
  • You are organized, dependable under pressure, willing to learn, and motivated to improve the team’s performance.
  • You hold a degree in Computer Science or a related field, or bring equivalent practical experience.

We welcome candidates whose strongest experience is in either security operations or network operations. Experience supervising a team or leading a shift is important; candidates ready to take on broader management responsibility will also be considered.

Especially relevant experience

  • Experience with an MSSP, MSP, or another environment supporting multiple clients.
  • SIEM, EDR, next-generation firewall, and PSA/ticketing platforms; Microsoft Sentinel, KQL, and HaloPSA experience is particularly relevant.
  • Routing and switching knowledge, including BGP, OSPF, or MPLS, and experience reviewing or hardening network configurations.
  • PowerShell or Python scripting and an interest in automation and AI-assisted security operations.
  • Familiarity with NIST CSF or regulated client environments subject to FFIEC, NCUA, HIPAA, or CJIS requirements.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNA CyberOps, CCNP, CCNP Security, CISSP, Network+, Security+, or equivalent.

Schedule, compensation, and benefits

  • Full-time employment directly with our client.
  • Base salary of $85,000–$110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Regular weekday daytime schedule, with availability for after-hours and weekend escalations supporting a 24/7 operation.
  • Initially onsite five days per week in Miami Lakes. A later hybrid arrangement may allow three to four days onsite and one to two days remote, subject to readiness and business needs.
  • Minimal travel for training or conferences.
  • Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) with matching; paid time off; employee discounts; and tuition assistance.
  • Employer-supported training and certifications, exposure to varied client environments and tools, and opportunities to grow as the business expands.
