Securities Litigation Associate

Our client, a premier Am Law 100 law firm, is seeking a Securities Litigation Associate to join its Los Angeles office. This opportunity is ideal for a litigation associate with 3-5 years of defense‑side securities litigation experience who is looking to work on sophisticated, high‑profile matters within a nationally recognized practice.

The successful candidate will have significant experience handling securities litigation matters, a strong understanding of federal securities laws, and the ability to assume meaningful responsibility in a fast‑paced and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Represent corporate clients, directors, officers, and financial institutions in complex securities litigation matters
• Assist in all phases of litigation, including case strategy, motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation
• Conduct legal research and analyze issues arising under federal securities laws
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and other litigation‑related documents
• Manage discovery and document review processes
• Support client communications and case management responsibilities
• Collaborate with partners and litigation teams on high‑stakes securities matters
• Handle multiple assignments while meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
• 3-5 years of securities litigation experience at a nationally recognized law firm
• Significant defense‑side litigation experience
• Strong knowledge of federal securities laws, including the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act (PSLRA)
• Exceptional legal research, analytical, and writing skills
• Strong organizational and case management abilities
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and independently manage responsibilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $270,000 - $385,000 annually
• Compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, class year, practice area background, and overall qualifications
