Position Summary
An exciting opportunity exists at Raytheon for an engineering manager to join our semiconductor foundry engineering leadership team within the RF Microelectronics/Module Design & Foundry Services Department. The Section Lead – RF Production Test, Semiconductor Fab would be responsible for directing a group of skilled test engineers to perform DC and RF in-process testing on Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMICs) fabricated in our on‑site foundry. The ideal candidate will possess experience in both DC and RF production electrical testing.
What You Will Do
- Direct daily operations of the DC and RF production test areas of our semiconductor foundry.
- Identify and champion improvement opportunities, work to improve yields, and interface with operations management.
- Review and oversee project schedules and costs, drive capital acquisition and qualification.
- Facilitate the effective allocation of team resources and assist in identifying future capital investment needs.
- Work with the department manager on manpower and resource planning, controlling overhead costs, developing and delivering employee performance reviews, and developing/reviewing proposals.
- Support management at the department, directorate, and functional leadership levels.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelors Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) Field.
- A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in semiconductor testing, including both DC and RF. (An advanced STEM degree could count for 3 years of experience).
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- A Master’s degree or PhD. in a Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) Field
- Extensive experience in the development of test systems and associated software
- Experience working with GaAs, GaN, GaSb, and/or acoustic semiconductor processes
- Experience in semiconductor process engineering, specifically in automated inspection and pick-and-place operations.
- Strong analytical skills
- Customer focus and collaboration skills
- Project scheduling and management experience
- Previous experience with a defense contractor and/or government agency.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Current DoD Secret level security clearance

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
