The University of Rochester Medicine's Department of Imaging Sciences is seeking a Section Head of Breast Imaging to lead a growing team of breast radiologists. This role focuses on providing comprehensive care for the early detection and diagnosis of breast diseases, utilizing state-of-the-art imaging technologies. The successful candidate will contribute to an NCI Designated Wilmot Cancer Center and support a mobile mammography program for underserved patients.
Practice Info
- Division consists of 7 faculty members
- Provides state of the art imaging including novel ultrasound tomography and breast MRI
- Uses structured reporting software and automated breast density with risk assessment across the enterprise
- Integral component of the comprehensive breast program at the NCI Designated Wilmot Cancer Center
- Operates a Mobile Mammography Van that provides access to underserved and underinsured patients
- Department of Imaging Sciences is a practice of approximately 145 radiologists and 50-60 residents and fellows

- Oversee a growing team of outstanding breast radiologists
Compensation
- Professional activities are supported by a generous individually managed professional account
- Section heads are eligible for a leadership incentive of up to $30,000
- Compensation and benefit packages are highly competitive
- Individual salaries will be determined within the job's salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries
- Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process

Shift & Schedule
- The department has maintained an average of one day per week of dedicated academic/administrative time
- Section heads get an additional one day every two weeks of protected time
Requirements
- MD/DO or equivalent
- ABR Certified/Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
- Fellowship Trained or Equivalent Experience in Breast Imaging
- NYS Licensed or License Eligible
