Central Texas Recruiting is seeking an experienced Section 337 Litigation Associate with 3 6 years of direct experience practicing before the U.S. International Trade Commission. This role is designed for an attorney who has already participated in multiple Section 337 investigations and can step into active matters with minimal ramp-up time.
The position offers the opportunity to work directly with a busy hiring partner on complex ITC matters while handling substantive responsibilities across investigations, remedies, enforcement, and other ITC-specific issues.
Key Responsibilities
Handle Section 337 investigations before the ITC
Support matters from filing through remedies and enforcement
Analyze and address domestic industry issues
Handle ITC remedies and enforcement matters
Apply Commission Rules of Practice and Procedure
Work directly with the hiring partner on active investigations
Take on case responsibilities and substantive litigation work
Collaborate with Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation attorneys
Develop and articulate litigation strategies
Manage multiple fast-paced ITC matters
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education & Experience:
JD from an accredited law school
Active bar license in state of residence or ability to obtain promptly
3 6 years of experience practicing before the U.S. ITC
Participation in at least 2 Section 337 investigations required
Must be able to identify specific 337 cases and explain individual responsibilities
Hands-on Section 337 experience required
IP law knowledge required
Patent, trade secret, or related unfair trade practice experience
Technical Skills & Competencies:
Section 337 investigation experience
Knowledge of ITC domestic industry requirements
Familiarity with ITC remedies and enforcement
Knowledge of Commission Rules of Practice and Procedure
Strong litigation strategy and legal analysis
Ability to operate effectively under fast-paced ITC timelines
Ability to handle substantive case responsibilities with minimal training
Working Conditions:
Fully remote U.S.-based position, excluding Alaska and Hawaii
Work from any Husch Blackwell office or The Link virtual office
Direct work with hiring partner
