The school secretary will:Provide clerical and administrative support to the principal, vice principal and teaching staff as directedAct as liaison between the community, the school and other internal and external stakeholdersCoordinate appropriate documents for communicationMaintain all record keeping for students and staffMaintain student and staff confidentiality in all circumstancesTrack attendance and absences; use reporting software and generate reports for internal and external useCommunicate effectively with a variety of district and community officialsUse common computer hardware and software with proficiency and under pressureManage multi-line phone systems and public address systemsPerform school funds transactions and record keepingPerform data entryPerform general office duties such as answering telephone inquiries, filing, mail, spreadsheets, and journal entries on a daily basisStrong communication, interpersonal and organizational skillsAbility to work with minimal direct supervisionMaintain the integrity of information systems, databases and office filesMaintain records with a high degree of accuracyWork as part of a teamWork with frequent interruptionsComplete any duties assigned by the administration
