Secret-Cleared Embedded Software Engineer

Embedded Software EngineerPGS Worldwide is seeking a Secret-Cleared Embedded Software Engineer in Chandler, AZ for a one-year contract role supporting Northrop Grumman.The Embedded Software Engineer will support Launch Systems programs by developing, debugging, testing, integrating, and maintaining real-time embedded software. This onsite role requires C/C++ object-oriented software development experience in a Linux environment, embedded real-time software experience, RTOS experience, full software development lifecycle experience, and an active DoD Secret clearance investigated within the last 5 years.Required SkillsBachelor of Science or Engineering degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems, or a related discipline.U.S. citizenship required.Active DoD Secret security clearance investigated within the last 5 years.Object-oriented software development experience in C/C++.Linux development experience.Embedded real-time software development, debugging, and testing experience.Real-time operating system experience, such as VxWorks, Integrity, LynxOS, Yocto Linux, or equivalent RTOS.Full software development lifecycle experience.Ability to support requirements development, architecture development, detailed design, coding, unit testing, integration, and test.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment.Ability to work onsite in Chandler, AZ.Preferred SkillsExperience with PowerPC, ARM, and/or RISC-V architectures.Experience with real-time computer-in-the-loop or hardware-in-the-loop test laboratories.Experience developing interfaces to support weapon system integration.Launch vehicle, missile defense, aerospace, defense, or mission-critical embedded software experience.What You'll DoDevelop embedded real-time software for Launch Systems programs.Support requirements development, software architecture, detailed design, coding, unit testing, integration, and test.Develop software in C/C++ within a Linux environment.Debug and test embedded real-time software.Work with RTOS environments such as VxWorks, Integrity, LynxOS, Yocto Linux, or equivalent systems.Ensure software standards are met.Support integration and testing activities for real-time embedded systems.Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.Troubleshoot software issues and support technical problem resolution.Support weapon system integration efforts as needed.Work Schedule / Shift9x80 A schedule.Full-time, 40 hours per week.Onsite role.Pay$90.00/hourJob ID: 1554Military veterans and transitioning military members are encouraged to apply to all PGS Worldwide positions.
