Lead and supervise production operations to ensure efficient manufacturing of company products while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence. This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive continuous improvement, develop team members, and deliver results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Second Shift: This is a second shift position.
Start time will vary according to operational demands. Typical start time is 4:00 PM, followed by a 9-hour shift.Roles and ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily production activities, establish work schedules, and monitor team performance to meet delivery commitmentsEnsure compliance with all HSE policies, quality standards, ISO requirements, and regulatory guidelinesPlan production schedules, manage workflow bottlenecks, and requisition supplies to optimize efficiencyTrain, coach, and develop employees on safety procedures (JSAs), quality standards, and best operational practicesLead continuous improvement initiatives including 5S, LEAN manufacturing, scrap reduction, and productivity enhancementsMonitor and control production costs, reduce variances, and manage departmental budgets effectivelyConduct performance reviews, administer corrective actions, and participate in recruitment of production staffProvide regular reporting on key metrics including productivity, quality, output, and safety performanceFoster effective communication with internal stakeholders and maintain a culture of accountability and excellenceSkills / Education5-7 years of manufacturing experience with 5+ years in machining operations5 years of supervisory/leadership experienceStrong machining and manufacturing process knowledgeProven ability to train, coach, and lead improvement activitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Ability to manage budgets and control cost of goods soldPhysical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and respond to emergency situationsAssociate degree or 2 years of college educationExperience with time and attendance systems, JDE (or equivalent ERP), and LEAN methodologies
