Production TechnicianThe Production Technician's primary responsibilities will be supporting and leading the daily packaging of liquid (hard cider) into bottles, cans and keg packages, operating packaging machinery, and the cleaning and sanitation of the packaging areas and machinery. Additionally, the position will be responsible for their own safety, ensuring the safety of their peers, and working closely with all production departments to ensure the highest product quality.Essential ResponsibilitiesThe following list of essential duties for the Production Technician is required to perform other duties as directed by management.Learn, understand and follow packaging operations according to the process instructions and/or standard operation procedures (SOP's)Help-out as needed in all other parts of the BHC production building (Team Player)Keep the packaging areas and workspaces clean and organizedMaintain tools, equipment, and materials by using them to their designed intentEnsure finished product is safely and neatly stored in its appropriate area, and logged accurately each dayCount and log all consumed packaging materials, destroyed materials, and defective (failed quality) goods each dayComplete all paperwork associated with each duty to 100% accuracyCommunicate to the production team any inventory shortages or other potential issues that may occurMaintain a positive attitude and act in accordance with BHC company goalsMake a positive contribution to the team through attitude, ideas, and work ethicAlways conduct ones-self in a professional and cooperative mannerEnsure that your time is being used efficiently and effectively every dayMeeting or exceeding production volume goals as established by managementRequirementsEducation, Skills and KnowledgeHigh school diploma or equivalentExtremely high level of attention to detailExperience working on a production line, beverage/canning knowledge preferredSelf-motivated with a positive attitude and ongoing sense of urgencyExcellent time management skillsExcellent understanding of the principles of BHC productionProven ability to work well with othersDemonstrated mechanical aptitudeA flexible schedule with the ability to work nights and weekendsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong overall understanding of safety procedures, regulations and requirementsMust be able to remain on your feet for an entire shift
