SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)Location: Tampa, FL / Dallas, TX (Hybrid) Type: Contract-to-Hire (CTH) Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension)ResponsibilitiesPrepare, maintain, and implement test cases based on user stories; present results and supervise defects to closure.Develop and maintain Java-based automation scripts for UI, API, and backend testing.Apply Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and best practices in automation code.Perform API testing using Rest Assured and database validation using JDBC/JPA.Track test execution breakthroughs, report on issues and risks with the potential to affect project timelines.Construct appropriate end-to-end business scenarios through the application of a broad understanding of business objectives and goals.Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data validation and backend testing.Develop a detailed understanding of the product being delivered.Responsible for process compliance and associated documentation.Align risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to supervise and mitigate risk; calls out appropriately.Required Skills & QualificationsJava ProgrammingStrong proficiency in Java programming, including:Collections FrameworkException HandlingStreams and Lambda ExpressionsTest AutomationHands-on experience with Java-based test automation frameworks:SeleniumTestNGJUnitFamiliarity with build tools:MavenGradleDependency managementAPI & Database TestingExperience with API testing using Rest Assured.Experience with database testing using JDBC/JPA.Database SkillsStrong knowledge of SQL.Experience working with relational databases, including:OracleDB2SnowflakeSoft SkillsExcellent problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills.Strong collaboration skills.
