Senior Microsoft SQL Database Administrator/DeveloperConsult and provide database developer support for existing and new SQL databases and provide applications, maintenance, and operations support on all the Enterprise SQL databases in all environments (Development, Test, Staging, and Production). Under the direction of the AIS Application Services (AS) manager or delegate, the contractor shall provide one (1) Senior Software Engineer consultant for developing, maintaining, migrating, and tuning SQL Server database environments. The contractor will be involved in reviewing and documenting existing SQL database designs and identify areas for improvement.
Based on the suggested design and action plan, the Contractor shall perform the following tasks and provide documentation:Document the baseline of the existing databases and data mapping.Optimize the query functionality and performance tuning of the database.Work with business users to document business requirements related to reports and ETL (Extract Transfer Load) process.Install and administer SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Server (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL.Develop and implement data pipelines, data warehouses, and ETL processes to integrate data from various sources into Azure Synapse Analytics.Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to SQL Server.Provide knowledge transfer as defined in Knowledge Transfer section below.
