The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a respected healthcare organization in Las Vegas, NM to recruit a skilled and dependable Surgical Technologist to join the Surgery Department.
In this role, you'll assist surgeons and the surgical team before, during, and after surgical procedures while helping maintain a safe, efficient, and sterile operating room environment.
Schedule: PRN| Days
What You'll Do
- Prepare and maintain sterile operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team throughout procedures
- Perform instrument, sponge, and needle counts with the circulating nurse
- Clean, restock, and prepare operating rooms between procedures
- Ensure surgical equipment is functioning properly and report any issues
- Handle and label surgical specimens according to established protocols
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Current BLS certification or ability to obtain
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
Additional Requirements
- Knowledge of sterile technique, aseptic practices, and infection prevention
- Ability to prepare, maintain, and troubleshoot surgical instruments and equipment
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Ability to remain calm and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
