The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a respectedhealthcare organization in Russellville, AL, to recruit a skilled and dependable SurgicalTechnologist to join its Surgery Department.
In this role, you'll assist surgeons and thesurgical team before, during, and after surgical procedures while helpingmaintain a safe, efficient, and sterile operating room environment.

What You'll Do
- Prepare and maintain sterileoperating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Assist surgeons during proceduresby passing instruments and supplies
- Anticipate the needs of thesurgical team throughout procedures
- Perform instrument, sponge, andneedle counts with the circulating nurse
- Clean, restock, and prepareoperating rooms between procedures
- Ensure surgical equipment isfunctioning properly and report any issues
- Handle and label surgical specimensaccording to established protocols
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Graduate of an accredited SurgicalTechnology program
- Current BLS certification orability to obtain
- Certified Surgical Technologist(CST) preferred
Additional Requirements
- Knowledge of sterile technique,aseptic practices, and infection prevention
- Ability to prepare, maintain, andtroubleshoot surgical instruments and equipment
- Strong communication, teamwork, andorganizational skills
- Ability to remain calm and workeffectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to participate in on-call coverage as needed
