This position entails creating precision-machined components within strict tolerances, upholding quality standards, and ensuring smooth machine operation around the clock.ResponsibilitiesSet up, monitor, and manage multi-spindle automatic lathes for consistent performanceManufacture parts to exact specifications outlined in blueprints, ensuring quality and accuracyInspect parts periodically during production using precision tools to guarantee complianceAdjust machine parameters and tooling as necessary to uphold quality and productivityMaintain tooling, drills, taps, and coolant systems to keep operations running smoothlyLoad and monitor bar stock to prevent any production breakdownsAddress machine malfunctions and conduct minor repairs to minimize downtimeAccurately complete production and quality documentation as neededEnsure a clean, safe, and organized work environment in adherence to safety protocolsMaintain open communication with supervisors and colleagues during shift transitionsRequirementsPrior experience operating multi-spindle automatic lathes is essentialAbility to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications is requiredProficiency in using precision measurement tools like micrometers and calipersBasic mechanical knowledge and grasp of machining principles are necessaryHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in machining is beneficialCapacity to work independently and manage multiple lathe machines simultaneouslyShift/ScheduleDay and night shifts are availableNight shift differential pay is offeredCompensation$25–$27 per hour, based on expertiseAdditional compensation for night shift work
