In this role, the consultant will work closely with client stakeholders to understand operational challenges, identify automation opportunities, and design practical solutions that improve service efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance support outcomes. The ideal candidate will not only build integrations and AI-enabled workflows but also act as a trusted advisor by guiding clients on automation strategy, process optimization, and enterprise integration best practices.
This role is well-suited for someone who can bridge business needs and technology solutions while contributing to both delivery execution and client-facing consulting discussions.Day to Day Job Duties:Design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade integration workflows and automation recipes on the Workato platform connecting SAP (S/4HANA, Ariba), CRM, ITSM, and cloud applications.Develop and deploy AI-powered automation bots within Workato to auto-classify, route, and resolve IT support tickets, reducing mean time to resolution (MTTR) across regions (USA, India, Germany, APAC, EMENA).Collaborate with AMS (Application Management Services) teams to connect Workato recipes with knowledge base (KB) systems and historical ticket data to enable intelligent issue resolution.Monitor integration recipe performance, troubleshoot IDoc failures, SLP?MDG payload errors, batch job issues, and certificate expiry alerts across SAP modules.Participate in sprint planning and work with product owners to prioritize automation use cases based on ticket volume and SLA breach patterns.Partner with the Sales and Pre-sales team to demo Workato-based AI capabilities to prospective clients and support RFP / proposal activities.Document integration architecture, data flows, and automation recipes; maintain runbooks for operational support.Basic Qualifications:Minimum 5+ years of enterprise integration or iPaaS experience, with at least 3+ years hands-on with the Workato platform (recipes, connectors, WorkBots).Minimum 3+ years of experience integrating SAP systems (S/4HANA, Ariba, BTP) with third-party applications using APIs, IDoc, and event-driven triggers.Minimum 2+ years of experience building AI/ML-assisted workflows — ticket classification, NLP-based routing, or knowledge base retrieval automation.Proven experience with REST/SOAP APIs, OAuth, webhook configuration, and data transformation logic.Strong understanding of ITSM processes, ticket lifecycle management, and SLA frameworks.Travel: This position may require up to 20% travel for client engagements and workshops.Degree: Bachelor’s in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.Nice to Have:Workato Automation Pro certification.Experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite or MuleSoft.Exposure to generative AI frameworks (LangChain, OpenAI API) for building KB-connected agents.Prior experience in an AMS or managed services environment supporting global SAP landscapes
