Physical Requirements

Moving and lifting objects from floor to above shoulders, standing/walking with objects up to 25 pounds. Standing and sitting at computer terminals and laboratory bench completing repetitive tasks for extensive periods of time. Occasional job-related travel.

Primarily Days Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, some Evenings, Weekends are possible

Job Summary

The D’Orazio lab in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics is seeking a staff scientist to work on an NIH funded project that has guaranteed funding for two years.

The successful candidate will investigate candidate bacterial surface proteins that allow the foodborne pathogen Listeria monocytogenes to invade enteric glial cells and disseminate to the brain.
