Scientific Business Analyst

Our Pharma client is seeking a Scientific Business Analyst to serve as a key liaison between manufacturing operations and IT workstreams. The ideal candidate is an independent worker capable of navigating complex manufacturing environments to extract, document, and manage technical requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring that project milestones are met through diligent documentation and the use of modern project management tools.

Core Responsibilities

• Requirements Management: Lead the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business and technical requirements within a manufacturing context.
• Process Mapping: Create detailed visual workflows and system architectures to streamline production and IT integration.
• Project Tracking: Manage tasks, user stories, and bug tracking to ensure transparency across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Stakeholder Liaison: Work independently to gather feedback from shop-floor operators to executive leadership, ensuring project alignment with manufacturing goals.
• System Documentation: Maintain rigorous documentation standards for system upgrades or new software implementations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Manufacturing Domain Knowledge: Foundational understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain, or production environments.
• Documentation Excellence: Proven ability to write clear, concise, and actionable business requirement documents (BRDs) and functional specifications.
• Software Proficiency: Jira: Expert-level task management and sprint tracking.
• Lucid (Lucidchart/Lucidspark): Advanced visual mapping and flowcharting.

Preferred Qualifications (A Plus)

• Benchling: Experience with Benchling R&D Cloud or similar LIMS/ELN platforms is highly desirable.
• Life Sciences Experience: Background in a GxP or validated manufacturing environment.
