Secondary Science Teacher High School

Lincoln Park Public Schools is announcing a vacancy for the school year. Position: Secondary Science Teacher High School and any positions that result from the filling of this posting.

Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with proper endorsements (DX or DI) and evidence of MTTC scores
• ESL Endorsement (NS) preferred
• Must meet MCL & Administrative Rules Governing the Certification of MI Teachers
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education and/or Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable

Duties:

• Differentiate lessons for specific abilities
• Use research-based instructional techniques
• Oversee small group and whole group instruction
• Provide a learning environment that is trauma-informed
• Provide instruction to address the State Benchmarks
• Use appropriate technology tools
• Complete records in a timely manner
• Actively participate in school committees
• Actively participate in department data analysis
• Communicate to all members of the school & community
• Meet the physical and mental demands of the teaching profession and the position
• Maintain philosophy in accord with Lincoln Park Public Schools
• Work cooperatively with staff
• Follow the requirements of supervisors
• Provide classroom instruction and keep accurate student records
• Other duties as assigned

Responsible To: Building Principal and Assistant Principals

Work Schedule: According to School Calendar

Salary: According to LPEA Master Agreement
