Step into an impactful role supporting student success as a Speech Language Pathologist with expertise in Assistive Technology. For one student at the high school level, your specialized skills in eye gaze systems, particularly with Accent devices, will facilitate enhanced communication and inclusion. This contract opportunity begins immediately and continues through May 26, 2027, with a commitment of 2 hours per week. All hours are delivered in person at a single campus, focusing on both direct and indirect support to the student and their educational team.
Key Qualifications:

  • Hold a current Speech Language Pathologist license from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required if hours have been logged.
  • Solid background working in school settings, specifically with assistive technology and eye gaze communication devices.
  • Experience in device programming, calibration, maintenance, and providing technical support.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educational staff and tailor support to student-specific needs.
  • Professional references ready for credentialing.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Deliver personalized and evidence-based speech-language therapy with a strong assistive technology focus.
  • Program, calibrate, and maintain the Accent eye gaze device, ensuring seamless use for the student.
  • Provide hands-on training and consultation for the educational team to maximize the benefit of the technology.
