School Speech Language Pathologist - Gardendale, AL

This onsite position allows you to help 3rd to 6th-grade students develop vital communication skills in a supportive school setting. You'll have the flexibility of working just two days per week, creating impactful change while maintaining a balanced schedule.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Current ABESPA AL SLP Certification and/or AL SLP DOE Certification (you may start with one while pursuing the other)
• Successful completion of the SLP-CCC credential
• Previous experience in a school-based SLP role preferred
• Strong assessment, intervention, and documentation skills for language, articulation, and fluency disorders
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to supporting the unique needs of 3rd-6th grade students

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language therapy to students, following IEPs and school guidelines
• Assess, diagnose, and document students' communication needs
• Develop customized treatment plans and track student progress
• Participate in IEP meetings and partner with educational staff
• Provide consultative support and resources to teachers and families
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment to help students reach their fullest potential
